Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 / year

Looking for a qualified, energetic, and reliable staff member to join our team. 

Responsibilities:
  • Independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients with common acute medical conditions, chronic illness, minor injuries, and trauma.
  • Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records.
  • Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations within a timely manner.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including but not limited to: x-rays, electrocardiogram, in house and send out laboratory tests.
  • Perform minor procedures, including but not limited to: I&D, splinting, suturing, toenail avulsion, foreign body removal, and wound care.
  • Prescribe medications independently, appropriately, and safely within scope of license.
  • Assist with necessary day-to-day clinic operations as needed to accommodate patient flow, including but not limited to: perform emergency triage, perform vital signs, perform point of care testing, administer nebulizer treatments, administer vaccines and injectable medications, phlebotomy, ear lavage, patient check out and other general nursing duties.
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well-organized, and professional at all times when interacting with staff, management and clientele.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Consistently demonstrate a pleasant interpersonal demeanor and ability to work well with all levels of clinical/administrative team members.
  • Ability to learn and utilize an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and other computer based software for viewing/managing laboratory and radiology results.
  • Ability to effectively and positively lead clinical team members, oversee and direct daily clinic operations independently.
  • Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to clinical team members when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Genuinely caring individual who is confident, competent, and passionate about providing exceptional medical care.
  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher, and current certification by one of the Nationally recognized Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
  • A Master's degree and current certification by one of the Nationally recognized Physician Assistant certifying bodies is required.
  • Maintain current, unencumbered Texas state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Must maintain current certification in CPR, ACLS and PALS, or is willing/eligible to obtain these prior to anticipated start date.
  • Must meet all credentialing requirements including but not limited to: proof of education requirements; maintain current, unencumbered Texas state licensure, current board certification, current DEA license, NPI number, proof of current/previous medical malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Must meet all Texas state requirements for independent practice.
  • Maintain current, valid prescriptive authority (per Texas state practice requirements).
  • Demonstrate experience/ability to independently prescribe correct age appropriate and weight based medication dosages and DME, and instruct patients in correct usage of all medications/DME.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 2,000 hours (1 year) of urgent care/primary care experience within the past 3 years.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages (6 months-geriatric).
